About
Sheikh Sakil Mahmud Sagor is a Graduate Research Assistant at the Quantum Radiation and Nuclear Laboratory (QRNLab), University of Chittagong. He completed his M.Sc. thesis under the supervision of Prof. Quazi Muhammad Rashed Nizam at QRNLab, focusing on neutral-particle dose during carbon-ion interactions with hydrogenous materials in the therapeutic energy range using PHITS Monte Carlo simulations. His research interests include advanced radiotherapy, particle and heavy-ion therapy, mini beam radiation therapy (MBRT), spatially fractionated radiation therapy (SFRT), radiation dosimetry, Monte Carlo simulation and particle transport, secondary radiation production, radiation shielding, space radiation protection, and the applications of Monte Carlo methods in medical and space physics.
