Biography
Quazi Muhammad Rashed-Nizam received B.Sc. & M. S. degrees in Physics from the University of Chittagong, Bangladesh. He has obtained Doctor of Engineering (D. Eng.) in nuclear engineering from the University of Fukui, Japan. His research background is in nuclear physics with expertise in the radiation measurement and shielding. Concentrating on the issue of protection of space radiation and heavy ion cancer therapy, he extensively has studied the heavy ion (nucleus-nucleus) interaction by plastic nuclear track detector, CR-39. Recently, his studies focused on the understanding of nucleus-nucleus interaction by theory and experiment as well. He also focused on environmental radiation monitoring for Bangladesh.
