Biography
Quazi Muhammad Rashed-Nizam received his B.Sc. & M. S. degrees in Physics from the University of Chittagong, Bangladesh. He has obtained Doctor of Engineering (D. Eng.) in nuclear engineering from the Research Institute of Nuclear Engineering, University of Fukui, Japan. His research background is in nuclear physics with expertise in the radiation measurement and shielding. Concentrating on the issue of protection of space radiation and heavy ion cancer therapy, he extensively studied the heavy ion (nucleus-nucleus) interaction by plastic nuclear track detector, CR-39. Recently, his studies focused on the understanding of nucleus-nucleus interaction by Monte Carlo simulation and experiment as well. He actively doing research in the field of medical physics, environmental radiation monitoring as a prat nucelar safety and diasater prevention for Bangladesh.
